JOB GOAL The School Secretary performs a variety of secretarial functions, administrative assistant duties to assist with administrative and clerical detail; coordinate flow of communications, correspondence and information in support of operations and activities; and provide assistance to visitors as well as working with records and reports. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES General knowledge of standard office and secretarial practices, procedures, equipment, and secretarial techniques; ability to keyboard accurately, ability to interact professionally with a variety of individuals, and ability to follow oral and written instructions. QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED Demonstrated organizational skills General knowledge of standard office and bookkeeping practices Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Secretary Experience Preferred Attendance is an essential function of the job.
